Job Summary

Conduct customer financial transactions quickly and accurately at the teller line, while meeting service quality standards. Safeguard bank assets, handle cash and negotiable items, and support deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments. Set up and balance the teller station and assist with balancing vault/ATM/night drop/coin machines. Record monetary instrument sales, assist customers in person or by phone, and cross-sell bank products while following BSA/AML and bank policies.

Key Responsibilities

•Receive, pay out cash, and handle negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
•Set up, close, and balance the teller station; assist with balancing vault, ATM, night drop, and coin machines.
•Assist customers with inquiries in person or by telephone and maintain a neat, well-stocked teller area.
•Record sales of monetary instruments and exercise judgment when applying holds and making check cashing decisions.
•Cross-sell bank products and services, adhere to bank policies and work schedules, and complete required BSA/AML and compliance training.

Key Requirements

•Equivalent to a high school diploma or GED, with 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
•Basic math skills, including ability to use 10-key and perform calculations with money and other measurements.
•Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group customer situations.
•Ability to exercise judgment when applying holds and making check cashing decisions.
•Cash handling experience in a business environment and ability to maintain a positive, friendly, professional attitude and appearance.
