Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor and supervise fieldwork subcontractors on-site and review deliverables, including RAMS.
  • •Prepare competitive tenders and design scope/methodology for archaeological fieldwork in line with Health and Safety requirements.
  • •Contribute to archaeological desk-based assessments and reports.
  • •Undertake stakeholder, curator and client liaison to support project delivery.
  • •Lead fieldwork planning and consent processes; develop bespoke archaeological strategies for developments and infrastructure.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience leading archaeological fieldwork projects (project, financial and staff management).
  • •Robust knowledge of archaeology and heritage law, planning processes, and environmental/heritage guidance (esp. Ireland).
  • •Experience across heritage-related areas: planning, masterplanning, conservation, heritage-led regeneration, placemaking, and business development.
  • •Excellent writing, communication, and teamwork skills; able to meet deadlines and budgets in a consultancy environment.
  • •Strong health and safety awareness in fieldwork and risk management.
