Key Responsibilities

  • •Spray paint vehicles and specialized equipment using enamel, lacquer, and vinyl materials for protection and appearance
  • •Apply specialty coatings and multi-color camouflage finishes, including stenciling, silk screening, and decals where accuracy is critical
  • •Mix, thin, and adjust paints with dryers or flattening agents; fill spray tanks and maintain correct spray gun/air pressure
  • •Read and follow technical manuals, depot maintenance work requirements, and technical bulletins to determine paint types, colors, and markings
  • •Perform surface preparation and inspection, operate and maintain spray equipment safely, and guide lower-grade employees on proper procedures

Key Requirements

  • •3-5 years of experience in vehicle painting
  • •High school diploma/GED or Normal Apprenticeship (or equivalent training and experience)
  • •Ability to follow safety requirements in accordance with regulations and manufacturer instructions
  • •Ability to read and interpret Technical Manuals (TMs), Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWRs), and Technical Bulletins (TBs)
  • •May be assigned to work 2nd Shift based on workload and operational requirements
