Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop asbestos monitoring and decontamination strategies, issuing clearances.
  • •Conduct sampling for airborne contaminants (e.g., respirable crystalline silica, dust, chemicals) and for physical hazards (noise, vibration) to support protective recommendations.
  • •Undertake site surveys including sampling of suspected hazardous building materials and pre-demolition assessments.
  • •Provide technical guidance on sites during asbestos removal projects and manage a diverse range of small-to-medium scale projects.
  • •Analyse data and prepare technical reports and proposals with support from senior staff and Certified Occupational Hygienists.

Key Requirements

  • •Asbestos/HazMat consultancy experience or relevant industry experience (environmental management, construction, civil or mining)
  • •Experience measuring and assessing occupational exposure to hazards in the workplace (environmental factors, chemical/physical/ergonomic/biological hazards)
  • •Willingness to understand consulting and project life cycle and develop client relationships while maintaining high service standards
  • •Ability to improve skills in report writing, relationship building, and project management
  • •Australian driver's license and relevant qualifications in Building & Construction, Environmental Science, Health & Safety, or Occupational Hygiene (Asbestos Assessor license is highly regarded)
