Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide project leadership for design, investigation, analysis, and construction of civil infrastructure for mine waste (tailings) storage facilities.
  • •Direct and mentor technical staff and serve as technical advisor and reviewer for the project team.
  • •Conduct independent technical reviews of engineering reports and design work, including quality control sign-off on calculations, 3D models, and drawings.
  • •Prepare technical specification sections and develop study/design procedures to enable high-quality, cost-effective work.
  • •Develop reports in Microsoft Word and communicate with clients, supervisors, and team members to support scope, budget, and schedule.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS plus 6 years of relevant experience (or equivalent through demonstrated education/experience).
  • •Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • •Valid U.S. Driver’s License and ability to pass an MVR.
  • •Preferred: PE in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona or ability to acquire a PE in those states.
  • •Preferred: 8+ years of relevant experience with heavy civil infrastructure design, including hydraulic/hydrologic and stormwater analysis, construction monitoring, and task leadership.
