Key Responsibilities

  • •Compile and analyze industry and macro data and trends, commodity market fundamentals, and company financials.
  • •Build and maintain financial models and industry databases to ensure research information is up to date for reports.
  • •Write and support research reports, including earnings reports, company reports, and monthly/weekly publications and initiation reports.
  • •Review business and trade publications, annual reports, financial filings, and other sources to gather, synthesize, and interpret data.
  • •Over time, communicate recommendations to sales, trading, and clients, and help develop marketing materials; meet with management teams and attend industry conferences as appropriate.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree with a high GPA.
  • •Strong academic background with a focus on geology or mining engineering (preferred).
  • •3–5 years of mining and/or financial services experience, preferably in sell-side/buy-side equity research or investment banking.
  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with critical Excel proficiency.
