Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of NIAID’s enterprise ServiceNow platform and workflows.
  • •Translate system information requirements into platform-wide architecture, data models, integration standards, and governance approaches.
  • •Ensure platform architecture meets enterprise architecture standards, open systems architecture standards (OSI/ISO models), and NIH/NIAID compliance requirements.
  • •Govern configuration and custom development for best practices, maintainability, and upgrade readiness across modules and integrations.
  • •Oversee architectural decisions, validate designs (data models, integration patterns, APIs, CMDB), and provide technical guidance to engineering staff.

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • •8+ years of experience as a Systems Architect, Enterprise Architect, or similar role.
  • •ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS) for relevant modules (ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, SecOps, VR, or Architect).
  • •Extensive hands-on experience architecting and delivering enterprise solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  • •Deep knowledge of ServiceNow architecture including CSDM, application design, scripting, tables, integrations, and platform constraints.
