Job Summary

Design, validate, and certify gas turbine engine control systems, including new product lines, derivative legacy engines, and hybrid/new technology demonstrators. Develop system-level requirements for engine controls and collaborate with aircraft manufacturers to define control functionality. Work with an integrated cross-disciplinary team and suppliers to verify software and review test data from simulations, engine/aircraft tests. Generate certification reports for airworthiness authorities and support manufacturing and aftermarket with technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

•Create control system requirements with internal and external customers and suppliers.
•Create test plans/procedures and validate control systems on simulated closed-loop benches and engine test facilities.
•Review and interpret validation test data and support validation execution across test environments and suppliers.
•Support customer flight test activities and investigate field events as needed.
•Generate top-level certification reports for airworthiness authorities and provide technical support to manufacturing and aftermarket teams.

Key Requirements

•Engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, or aerospace).
•5 to 15 years of experience in control systems engineering (role-dependent).
•Relevant experience with gas turbine control systems, including knowledge of dual channel FADEC (asset).
•Understanding of aerospace software DO-178C and knowledge of DO-254 firmware (desired).
•Very good English to read/understand technical documentation daily and to write/communicate with international customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
