Job Summary

Lead supply chain strategy and analytics that optimize how vehicles are acquired, reconditioned, and moved across CarMax’s network. Partner with Product, Technology, and Operations to define strategic direction, set KPIs and targets, and build reporting dashboards to monitor performance. Drive execution through analytical problem solving, testing and experimentation, and change initiatives—presenting insights and recommendations to product and business executives. This role is based at the Midtown Office in Richmond, VA (onsite 4 days/week).

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with product and business stakeholders to define strategic direction for supply chain areas such as consumer supply, B2B, merchandising, logistics, or service operations.
•Demonstrate analytic excellence by setting up and reading product tests, running opportunity solution tree exercises, and owning KPI reporting and dashboards.
•Present recommendations and insights to product executives and other key business partners to build buy-in and align on decisions.
•Drive execution through KPI identification, target setting, and creation of management systems and reporting suites for accountability.
•Support change initiatives by consulting on strategic problems and analytical workstreams and presenting results to reach consensus for change.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 102,100 - 163,400 annually

Key Requirements

•Track record of excellent problem solving, strategic thinking, and quantitative/qualitative analysis.
•Experience conducting large-scale data analysis and building proficiency with SQL, PowerBI, or Tableau.
•Ability to apply business and technical knowledge to solve complex problems, produce results, and make recommendations.
•Ability to communicate complex topics to people with varying technical backgrounds.
•4+ years of experience in an analytical or strategic role and a four-year undergraduate degree with strong academic performance.
