Key Responsibilities

  • •Pull chicks and place them for processing; properly dispose of substandard chicks.
  • •Operate a high pressure washer to clean trays, dollies, hatchery, and sanitize using a high pressure hose.
  • •Pad, lift, stack, and move chick boxes and pull/push hatcher baskets to support chick placement and processing.
  • •Place chicks onto belts and manage tray washing tasks, including restacking cleaned empty trays.
  • •Follow biosecurity/animal welfare and safety requirements, including proper PPE use and sanitation practices; other duties as assigned (e.g., temperature monitoring and euthanizing weak/ill birds per policy).
