Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and/or support SHQ team delivery of projects in Ireland in line with legislative requirements and internal SHQ procedures.
  • •Act as PSDP: prepare and submit AF1, confirm safety file information, coordinate design safety across disciplines, and lead design health & safety workshops.
  • •Prepare and update design risk registers, preliminary safety and health plans, and contribute to tender health & safety requirements and reviews.
  • •Provide SHQ consultancy to clients by conducting inspections/audits, reviewing health & safety documentation (e.g., plans, emergency plans, RAMS, temporary works, lift plans), and reporting findings.
  • •Attend design/progress meetings and lifecycle reviews, coordinate safety-related deliverables with PSCS and design teams, and provide expert advice including accident/incident review reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive knowledge of Irish safety, health and environmental legislation and construction best practice.
  • •Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management system standards.
  • •Familiarity with construction projects and the safety and health issues associated with them.
  • •Ability to compile inspection/audit reports and perform analysis (e.g., trend analysis) to deadlines.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health (or similar), plus Lead Auditor certification and circa 10+ years relevant experience.
