Key Responsibilities

•Create military compliant designs that incorporate custom machined/sheet metal parts with COTS items as required.
•Lead prototyping and testing activities to verify product requirement compliance.
•Coordinate with drafting for drawings, review and redlines of machined and sheet metal parts.
•Interface with cross-functional teams (Electrical and Systems engineering) to ensure lifecycle requirements compliance.
•Lead investigations into highly complex, open-ended tasks and identify root causes.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
•Experience with commercial industry standards and/or military electronics packaging form factors, chassis design, and electromechanical applications.
•Proficiency in coordinating with cross-functional teams and providing technical guidance, reviews, and mentorship.
•Experience designing for rugged environments with SWaP considerations and strong familiarity with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
