Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate straight-in-line trucks and truck-trailer combinations (GVW 10,000 to 32,000 pounds) to transport cargo, personnel, and materials.
  • •Verify cargo documents and conduct visual inspections to ensure vehicles are not overloaded.
  • •Receive inbound cargo, screen for prohibited/undesirable contents using commercial-grade X-ray equipment, and transport materials daily to host/tenant activities.
  • •Assist with loading and unloading using forklifts (electric/gasoline/diesel, rated 4,000 to 10,000 pounds) and special attachments.
  • •Direct trucks to unloading bays and manage freight, material, and mail entering bases while securely handling sensitive/classified materials and performing preventive maintenance.

Key Requirements

  • •Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • •At least one year of professional truck driving experience.
  • •Valid state driver’s license; REAL ID or equivalent required for access to federal facilities.
  • •Pre-employment physical required; ability to lift and handle objects over 50 pounds frequently and use equipment or assistance for heavier items.
  • •Subject to random drug testing and background investigations; government forklift license may need to be obtained.
