Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and chains, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • •Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance, inspecting equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
  • •Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement safe, reliable fixes to maximize production uptime.
  • •Identify and request relevant parts to complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • •Assist in maintaining a safe work environment during maintenance and repairs.

Key Requirements

  • •Superior troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
  • •Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with operations and maintenance teams.
  • •Experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment; knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process is an asset.
  • •Basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery components.
  • •Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and ability to use a CMMS to schedule and document maintenance activities.
