Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage a specific region’s interconnection portfolio with limited supervision, implementing interconnection strategies.
  • •Identify, secure, and manage interconnection positions through queues from submittal to interconnection agreements and operation.
  • •Coordinate siting of interconnection and transmission facilities with Avangrid Project Delivery, Development Engineering, and Operations.
  • •Oversee technical screening studies to determine interconnection feasibility and communicate associated risks.
  • •Review, negotiate, and coordinate execution of LGIP-related agreements; support operations during commissioning and operation.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years in independent generation development or transmission utility business, with commercial experience.
  • •Engineering, transmission, and/or generation development expertise (not only developer or project management).
  • •Experience with interconnections, generation development, transmission planning or utility operations, and/or power marketing.
  • •Experience interfacing with Independent System Operators and Transmission Owners for generation interconnections (or third-party analysis for feasibility).
  • •Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
