Operate an asphalt distributor truck to spray asphalt emulsions on road surfaces across Western North Carolina and other job sites. You’ll manage asphalt application equipment settings (spray bars, burners, tanks, gauges/controls), perform daily safety checks and inspections, and complete routine equipment maintenance. The role also involves understanding different asphalt emulsions and coordinating work demands through varying shifts and nationwide travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive and operate a distributor truck equipped with a tank to spray asphalt emulsions on road surfaces.
•Fill the pressure tank with asphalt liquid and regulate the burner to heat the liquid and start the auxiliary pump.
•Attach and adjust spray bars and use valves/levers to regulate flow rate and spray bar height.
•Monitor flow gauges, tachometer, and temperature gauge to ensure uniform distribution.
•Perform daily safety checks (fluid levels/leaks/damage) and daily equipment maintenance, notifying a supervisor if repairs are needed.

Key Requirements

•Able to perform all duties described for the asphalt distributor operator role.
•Possess CDL class A or B with an acceptable driving record.
•Able to work varying shifts based on project demands and willing to travel to job sites nationwide as needed.
•At least 1 year of demonstrable previous experience as an Asphalt Distributor Operator (preferred).
•Must be able to pass background check and initial drug screening (plus company randoms) and be able to lift and climb safely.
