Job Summary

Support the Pratt & Whitney Government Security Compliance cybersecurity team as an ISSO onsite in East Hartford. Maintain the security posture for assigned information systems, monitor compliance and conduct audits, develop security plans, and deliver security education. Investigate security violations, review configuration management requests, and assist with incident response. Collect and archive security logs and ensure users have authorization, clearances, and need-to-know access awareness.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to maintain operational security posture for assigned information systems.
•Assess and monitor system compliance, perform auditing, develop security plans, and deliver security education and awareness.
•Investigate security violations and help prepare reports with corrective and preventative actions.
•Review and approve configuration management requests (within authority) and conduct technical and administrative assessments.
•Collect and archive security logs/reports/files per the System Security Plan (SSP) and assist with incident response activities.

Key Requirements

•Current IAM Level I certification (Security+ or other) OR ability to acquire certification within 6 months of hire.
•Active U.S. Government security clearance at the SECRET level or higher, and active/existing required on day 1.
•Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years relevant experience (or Associate’s with 4+ years, or High School/Military/Technical Training with 6+ years), supporting systems administration/engineering/security/cybersecurity or networking.
•Advanced degree plus 6 months combined experience in systems administration, systems engineering, security/cybersecurity, info-tech/networking, or a management role supporting classified programs or regulated environments.
•U.S. citizenship required; active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start.
