Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled inspections, repairs, and maintenance on UH-60 aircraft systems and subsystems, including lubrication and removal/installation.
  • •Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft subsystems and diagnose issues using technical publications and regulations.
  • •Maintain and repair aircraft components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
  • •Maintain repairs and modify aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty.
  • •Solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints and manufacturer manuals.

Key Requirements

  • •Thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures, and replacement of parts.
  • •Thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools and test equipment (e.g., torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers).
  • •UH-60 maintenance experience.
  • •Mechanic must have their own tools per US Army 15T toolbox standards or be able to obtain them.
  • •Working knowledge of technical publications and the ability to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
