Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Effectively lead the Quality Assurance Team and manage the day-to-day running of the laboratory.
  • •Oversee laboratory sampling and testing, entry of test results, and release of finished goods and raw material batches.
  • •Manage investigations, including customer complaint investigations and OOS investigations, and conduct trending analysis.
  • •Schedule/rostering laboratory personnel (including weekends) and supervise inspection and testing activities to meet timelines.
  • •Ensure laboratory programs and Food Safety and Quality procedures are implemented and practiced, including SOP creation and month-end reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Food Science/Technology (or related) with at least 4-5 years of relevant experience.
  • •Working knowledge of food laws with prior relevant food industry experience.
  • •Knowledge of BRC, SQF, WQA, AQIS, HACCP and GMP.
  • •Exceptional leadership skills with coaching and mentoring to build high-performing teams.
  • •SAP knowledge is required.
