Job Summary

Own software asset and licensing governance across Australia and New Zealand, improving allocation accuracy, reclaiming unused licenses, and reducing underutilization to deliver measurable cost savings. Maintain full visibility of the software portfolio (assets, renewals, costs, and ownership) and embed lifecycle standards for compliant ways of working. Translate usage and spend data into dashboards for Finance, Procurement, and Digital leaders, and lead vendor negotiations to improve value and reduce risk.

•Optimise software licensing across ANZ by improving allocation accuracy, reducing underutilisation, and reclaiming unused licences to deliver cost savings.
•Maintain full visibility of the software portfolio by tracking assets, renewals, costs, and ownership for accurate licensing decisions.
•Build consistent licensing governance by embedding standards, lifecycle practices, and compliant ways of working as business needs shift.
•Turn data into action by providing insights, dashboards, and reporting on software usage and cost management for stakeholders.
•Lead vendor engagement and negotiations, managing renewals and compliance discussions to improve value and reduce risk.

Key Requirements

•Around 5 years’ experience overall, including at least 3 years specialising in software or licence management.
•Strong analytical and data capability to translate utilisation and cost data into insights for Finance, Procurement, and business stakeholders.
•Proven experience in software asset management (SAM) and licensing governance, including allocation, reclamation, lifecycle controls, and compliance.
•Commercially minded with strong negotiation skills and a drive to deliver cost savings.
•Technical knowledge in an engineering, consulting, or construction environment; familiarity with tools like Autodesk or Bentley is highly regarded.
