Key Responsibilities

  • •Machine complex tooling and fixtures using manufacturing engineering and design engineering inputs
  • •Set up and run manual machine shop equipment (multi-axis mills and lathes, drill presses, shears, saws)
  • •Set up and operate surface grinding machines
  • •Develop, fabricate, and sharpen cutting tools and specialty tools; work from drawings/prints/work instructions
  • •Inspect GD&T features and assist shop management with training employees on shop practices

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • •Minimum 3 years of experience in the trade as a Tool Maker
  • •Experience or formal education in design/drafting with emphasis on CAD
  • •Ability to machine and set up manual shop equipment (multi-axis millers/lathes, drill presses, shears, saws) and operate surface grinding machines
  • •Ability to read blueprints and inspect GD&T features using basic and advanced inspection techniques
