Job Summary

Senior Structural Engineer based in Los Angeles or Orange, CA, delivering a broad range of structural projects with focus on seismic design and retrofits. Work within Buildings + Places, mentor junior engineers, coordinate with disciplines, and lead mid-sized structural design tasks on entertainment, commercial, industrial, government, detention and parking projects, including involvement in LA28 Olympic infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform structural analysis and design for a range of project sizes under supervision as part of a larger assignment
•Coordinate work with other design disciplines and prepare contract documents
•Provide guidance to entry level engineers and mentor junior staff
•Contribute to project delivery within budget and schedule with minimal supervision
•Lead or collaborate on moderately sized structural design projects and tasks, working with senior engineers on large projects

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 175,000 - 200,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering and 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
•US Citizenship due to federal contract/security requirements
•Master of Science (with structural engineering concentration) (preferred)
•Professional License in California (SE) (preferred)
•Demonstrated experience using 3-D structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP, RISA, RAM, SAFE) and design of Steel, Concrete, Masonry, and Timber (preferred)
