Job Summary

Lead the review, development, and implementation of model changes to Athene’s corporate actuarial model. Own ALM modeling and related capabilities supporting PBR reporting, cashflow testing, EBS, GAAP and statutory reporting, forecasting, risk metrics, CFT/EBS, and capital modeling. Perform detailed actuarial analysis, validate results, and explain model-driven variances. Partner across valuation, finance, and risk teams while providing technical leadership and mentorship to analysts and actuarial staff.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead development, testing, and review of ALM modeling and related capabilities supporting PBR reporting, cashflow testing, and EBS.
•Review, design, and implement corporate actuarial model changes for GAAP and statutory reporting, forecasting, risk metrics, CFT/EBS, and capital modeling.
•Design and test ALM modeling capabilities and may support building an asset projection model.
•Perform actuarial analysis to investigate model behavior, validate results, and develop frameworks to assess impacts of model changes on financial reporting, capital, and risk metrics.
•Partner with Financial Reporting, FP&A, Risk, Capital, and Investment teams and provide technical leadership and mentorship within the actuarial organization.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience) with 7+ years of actuarial experience directly involving actuarial model development, valuation, or financial reporting, plus demonstrated leadership experience.
•ASA required; FSA (or equivalent: FCIA, FIA) preferred.
•Strong technical proficiency in actuarial modeling, with experience using MG-ALFA, Aon PathWise, and/or Python (preferred).
•Deep familiarity with GAAP and statutory valuation frameworks; working knowledge of CFT, EBS, and capital modeling (plus).
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
