Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor environmental performance and support sites in managing environmental risks and obligations.
  • •Provide advice on environmental legislation and regulatory requirements, including NGER and AICIS, and support compliance reviews.
  • •Strengthen first-line environmental compliance and risk management practices with sites, including environmental assurance activities.
  • •Maintain and continually improve the Thales Environmental Management System in line with ISO 14001 and support environmental process controls.
  • •Develop environmental reporting, dashboards, and analytics, and identify improvements using digital technologies, automation, and AI-enabled tools.

Key Requirements

  • •AQF level 7 qualifications in environmental science or management (or similar).
  • •5–7 years of environmental background with knowledge of Australian environmental legislation and compliance frameworks.
  • •Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 certified management systems.
  • •Experience managing regulatory obligations including NGER, AICIS, and environmental licensing requirements.
  • •Proven ability to develop and execute risk-based assurance and audit programs.
