Job Summary

Provide safe, efficient utility operations work for natural gas pipeline maintenance, valve inspection, construction/customer station maintenance, and appliance inspection and activation. Respond to natural gas emergencies including line-breaks and leak/odour investigations, coordinating with fire/police and TSSA inspectors. Maintain professional customer interactions, promote damage prevention, follow company standards, and participate in standby rotation and shift work.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute safe and efficient operations work including pipeline repairs and maintenance, valve inspection/maintenance, construction inspection, and customer/distribution station maintenance.
•Perform natural gas emergency response activities including line-breaks, leak and odour investigations, and coordinate with fire/police and TSSA inspectors.
•Interact with external customers in a positive and professional manner that supports the company image.
•Promote distribution system protection/damage prevention awareness, including third-party observation activities.
•Participate in standby rotation and shift work, while wearing and maintaining company uniforms and safety apparel.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 35.93 - 46.57 hourly

Key Requirements

•Minimum Grade 12 education (or equivalent) with an active interest in natural gas utility operations work.
•Obtain and maintain a Gas Utility Technician (Utility Technician) Certificate and a TSSA-established Pipeline Inspector’s Certificate within required timeframes.
•Progress satisfactorily through USR progression steps (C2 to A1).
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, and be physically capable of strenuous manual labour with appropriate PPE.
