Key Responsibilities

  • •Support safety procedures and good housekeeping standards, including the 5S system.
  • •Directly supervise the daily production of photovoltaic modules in accordance with quality standards and cost-efficient operations.
  • •Coordinate on-the-job training, identify training opportunities, and maintain training guides and team training progress.
  • •Maintain accurate associate records in Solar Connect and timekeeping in the Kronos system.
  • •Use internal manufacturing software and Theory of Constraints (TOC) to maximize throughput, evaluate processes to meet cycle time, and eliminate downtime constraints. Include root-cause resolution and coordination with support teams.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED is required.
  • •Meet one of the listed experience criteria (First Solar Supervisor/Temporary Supervisor, First Solar Team Lead/Temporary Team Lead, First Solar Production Technician II or Coater Technician II, or specified supervisory experience in manufacturing/warehouse/material inspection settings with/or without First Solar experience).
  • •Effective communication and supervisory skills.
  • •Efficient Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
  • •If assigned to the coater area: knowledge of vacuum systems and laser operations.
