Job Summary

Keep a manufacturing plant running by delivering hands-on IT support across endpoints, printers, and shop-floor devices. Install and troubleshoot networking equipment and industrial wireless, maintain VLAN/IT-OT segmentation, and support test stations and MES connectivity. Run the local helpdesk, triage and resolve tickets, handle access/account requests, and provide on-floor support during production hours, escalating when needed under the IT Manager.

Key Responsibilities

•Image, deploy, and maintain laptops/desktops, operator terminals, station PCs, kiosks, and ruggedized handheld devices and tablets.
•Install, configure, and maintain plant network hardware (switches, access points, cabling), support VLAN/IT-OT segmentation, and troubleshoot industrial wireless coverage.
•Connect and support test stations and production equipment to the network and MES, troubleshoot integrations, and respond quickly when a station goes down.
•Run the local helpdesk by owning the ticket queue, triaging/resolving/escalating issues, and providing walk-up and on-floor support during production hours.
•Maintain accurate asset inventory and documentation (SOPs/runbooks), onboard new staff with access/devices, and support audits/compliance using maintained data.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of hands-on IT support experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, lab, or other operational environment.
•Strong endpoint support across laptops/desktops and shop-floor devices, including Windows imaging/troubleshooting, Active Directory basics, MDM tools, and printer support.
•Local helpdesk experience running a ticket queue, prioritizing requests, and communicating clearly with end users.
•Networking fundamentals knowledge: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, switch port configuration, and Wi‑Fi troubleshooting.
•Comfort with firewall basics (reading rules, making approved changes, reviewing logs) and hands-on work pulling cable and mounting hardware in IDFs/on the production floor.
