Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the domain intelligence layer for AI: ontology, agent workflow models, fine-tuning strategy, and the intelligence pattern library.
  • •Build and govern the canonical ontology (entities, relationships, business rules, terminology) across PEO/HCM domains including compliance.
  • •Model agent workflows with tool boundaries, decision points, escalation paths, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints, especially around payroll and money movement.
  • •Define the fine-tuning strategy (when to fine-tune vs retrieve vs prompt) using dataset curation standards and domain-specific evaluation.
  • •Partner with product teams end-to-end, advise on use-case feasibility and risk, and serve as an escalation point for domain-AI design questions.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years building production software, including staff/principal/architect-scope work where other teams depended on your ownership.
  • •Practical experience designing ontologies, knowledge graphs, or canonical domain models that shipped in production.
  • •Hands-on experience with LLM-based or agentic systems, including knowing where they break.
  • •Experience with fine-tuning, RAG, or model evaluation pipelines, with judgment about the right approach for a given problem.
  • •Hands-on Microsoft Foundry and Azure experience for deployment, agent development, and AI workload building blocks.
