Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time by required routes, obeying traffic laws and all safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when warranted, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork (invoices and bills of lading) and perform routine service checks; report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a Class A CDL (or chauffeur’s license depending on state) for the weight of vehicle operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, and complete a DOT physical (trucks over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Demonstrate the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Meet physical requirements, including prolonged time sitting in a trailer cab and lifting/moving up to 40 pounds.
