Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical and organizational leadership to develop complex embedded software products and systems and advance the state of the art.
•Direct domestic and global teams to define software architecture and coding techniques for next-generation Rosemount flowmeter platforms, including sensor processing, communications, diagnostics, functional safety, and security.
•Prepare multi-year program plans by defining technical goals, cost/schedule requirements, and recommending/initiating innovative projects aligned to product-line strategy.
•Coordinate technical and administrative matters with customers, vendors, and cross-functional groups; prepare technical proposals and represent Emerson to standards bodies.
•Coach and develop the Rosemount Flow software team and champion modern engineering practices including requirements management, CI/CD, SDL, and appropriate AI-assisted development tools in partnership with DevSecOps and New Product Development.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science from an engineering school (ABET-accredited preferred).
•10 years of related software engineering experience leading complex product development from concept through release.
•2 years of leadership experience in an industrial or technology organization.
•Familiarity with MISRA coding standards, version control, defect tracking, and requirements management tools (Jama, DOORS, Azure DevOps).
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills (up to 10% domestic/international travel required; legal authorization to work in the United States required).
