Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical and systems issues including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, transmissions, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including maintaining and performing safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work using company standards (including photos and Repair Orders) in compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and EPA requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as a degree/certification beyond HS/GED or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform the job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license with ability to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
