Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare electrical project deliverables including one-line diagrams, block diagrams, area classification drawings, motor control schematics, lighting layout drawings, and power drawings.
  • •Create cable tray drawings, cable sizing calculations, conduit & cable schedules, and AG/UG power drawings; prepare bills of material and perform MTO for electrical items.
  • •Support project development and coordination by maintaining focus on McDermott’s end product, coordinating with electrical leads, communicating design status, and managing change impact.
  • •Provide site support for construction by offering off-site and/or on-site design/drafting support, coordinating with home office staff, and maintaining as-builts/redlines to support RFI.
  • •Mentor and support less experienced designers and assume responsibility for assigned deliverables/activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years of detailed electrical design experience.
  • •Heavy experience using modeling and SmartPlant software (PDS or S3D, SPE) plus field installations; experienced at superuser/administrator level for project & database setup.
  • •Experience with domestic and/or international electrical codes and standards (including NEC/NFPA).
  • •Strong knowledge of electrical detailed design/drafting process, including tray/conduit fill calculations.
  • •US Citizen or Green Card holder.
