Seasoned Cost Specialist/Cost Engineer will support operational cost reporting for an oil and gas pipeline client in a hybrid Chicago office. You’ll track performance vs budgets, update forecasts, reconcile actuals, analyze project financials, and manage invoices in SAP, leveraging Excel and Power BI to deliver accurate, timely cost insights.

Key Responsibilities

•Track financial performance against budgets and forecast
•Manage and update monthly forecasts and provide variation reports
•Reconcile actuals vs. forecast
•Review and track project and portfolio financial performance
•Analyze and issue project reports such as VOWD, cash flow analysis, PO headroom, and vendor invoice management

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 90,000 - 110,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
•5-10 years of post-grad experience in financial analysis and reporting, or related role
•Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
•Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to various stakeholders
•Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
