Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and deliver ground investigations end-to-end, including scoping, methodology selection, scheduling, and coordination with drillers and subcontractors.
  • •Undertake and/or supervise fieldwork such as logging, sampling, in-situ testing oversight, and QA, ensuring safe and compliant site execution.
  • •Produce geotechnical and engineering geology interpretations and reporting, including factual GI reports, ground model development, and parameter selection.
  • •Coordinate laboratory testing programs and validate results for completeness and suitability.
  • •Contribute to multidisciplinary coordination and support client/stakeholder engagement by briefing findings, risks, and recommendations.

Key Requirements

  • •3–10 years post-graduate experience as an Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer.
  • •Minimum 2 years of ground investigation fieldwork experience, including planning, supervision, logging/sampling, QA, and safety.
  • •Strong preference for Western Australian experience and familiarity with WA geotechnical investigation practices and client/authority expectations.
  • •Sound technical writing skills to produce clear, defensible deliverables.
  • •Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented with a strong quality focus; exposure to Defence/high-assurance environments is advantageous.
