Key Responsibilities

  • •Interpret referrals and conduct initial evaluation, problem identification, and diagnosis of physiological, psychological, and cognitive functioning.
  • •Develop, deliver, and modify individualized treatment plans; set patient-centered goals and educate patients, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • •Use standardized outcome measures to evaluate progress, monitor patient tolerance and response, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • •Conduct constant risk assessments and adhere to safety measures during therapy sessions; identify and manage deterioration with escalation as needed.
  • •Maintain accurate and timely records and reports; complete administrative tasks including documentation, billing, insurance submissions, and coordinate care with other health care providers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, or direct entry of a recognized program with attainment of an MSc in Occupational Therapy.
  • •Minimum of 6 years as an Occupational Therapist in a large hospital.
  • •Relevant experience with patients with the same diagnosis in acute care hospital or rehabilitation facilities.
  • •Teaching and mentoring skills and experience.
  • •Ability to develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and support patient education and self-management.
