Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the Compliance Officer with development, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of the bank’s compliance program.
  • •Perform periodic testing of transactions and procedures to ensure effectiveness of the compliance program.
  • •Research federal and state banking laws and regulations, review policies and procedures, and help ensure ongoing compliance.
  • •Assist with scheduling compliance meetings and audits, including supplying information to the Board of Directors.
  • •Support compliance duties related to laws including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering requirements, while maintaining confidentiality.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED; or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • •Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • •Intermediate computer skills, including email, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics.
  • •Ability to write clearly and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • •Knowledge of HMDA is preferred.
