Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan assigned design and/or development projects by preparing engineering documents, calculations, drawings, material lists, construction schedules, operating instructions, and integrating plant controls and automation.
  • •Support project management, including supervising construction crews, initiating purchase requisitions, selecting equipment, coordinating stakeholders, and championing safety during design and construction.
  • •Troubleshoot process and equipment challenges, conduct root cause analysis, and lead mitigation and corrective actions.
  • •Provide technical support for plant utilities systems (compressed air, steam, cooling, electrical, and water/wastewater).
  • •Maintain documentation for repairs and improvements and implement food/feed safety, quality systems, and continuous improvement/Lean initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Agricultural, Civil, or Biosystems Engineering.
  • •2+ years of experience in plant, process, or project engineering in a related industry such as biofuels or chemical manufacturing.
  • •Knowledge of oilseed processing and refining operations.
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of plant construction and effective management of small to medium-sized projects.
  • •Mechanical and electrical aptitude in equipment troubleshooting, with PMP and/or Lean training or certification.
