Job Summary

Provide technical support for plant process performance, driving continuous improvement and assisting with project management to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient outcomes. Plan engineering work including calculations, drawings, schedules, and operating instructions; support cost-effective repairs and improvements. Troubleshoot process and equipment issues using root-cause analysis, support utilities systems, and help lead mitigation actions. Manage project safety and quality systems while coordinating with engineering, operations, and EHS stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan assigned design and/or development projects by preparing engineering documents, calculations, drawings, material lists, construction schedules, operating instructions, and integrating plant controls and automation.
•Support project management, including supervising construction crews, initiating purchase requisitions, selecting equipment, coordinating stakeholders, and championing safety during design and construction.
•Troubleshoot process and equipment challenges, conduct root cause analysis, and lead mitigation and corrective actions.
•Provide technical support for plant utilities systems (compressed air, steam, cooling, electrical, and water/wastewater).
•Maintain documentation for repairs and improvements and implement food/feed safety, quality systems, and continuous improvement/Lean initiatives.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Agricultural, Civil, or Biosystems Engineering.
•2+ years of experience in plant, process, or project engineering in a related industry such as biofuels or chemical manufacturing.
•Knowledge of oilseed processing and refining operations.
•Demonstrated knowledge of plant construction and effective management of small to medium-sized projects.
•Mechanical and electrical aptitude in equipment troubleshooting, with PMP and/or Lean training or certification.
