Key Responsibilities

  • •Engage proactively with Central/State government departments, state police, and local regulators to represent Cashfree’s policy, operational, and compliance interests.
  • •Undertake regular field visits (approximately 30–40% of working time) to resolve operational matters requiring direct physical engagement.
  • •Prepare internal notes, policy positions/drafts, and briefing documents on Central/state-level regulatory developments and risks.
  • •Apply knowledge of India’s payments regulatory framework, including RBI’s PA/PG guidelines, PMLA obligations, and relevant cyber fraud regulatory directions.
  • •Develop and maintain relationships with key officials across government departments, state cyber crime departments, and I4C, positioning Cashfree as a transparent and proactive partner.

Key Requirements

  • •3–7 years of experience in government liaison, public policy, government business, regulatory affairs, or regulatory liaison.
  • •Prior experience working with a fintech, bank, NBFC, or digital startup.
  • •Demonstrated working knowledge of India’s payments regulatory framework, including RBI’s PA/PG guidelines and PMLA obligations.
  • •Prior experience working in Karnataka/ neighboring states.
  • •Experience building and maintaining relationships with key officials in government departments and related agencies.
