Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver and coordinate design packages on complex infrastructure programmes from concept through to construction.
  • •Lead technical design teams across transportation projects, bus infrastructure, and greenway/active travel projects to relevant standards.
  • •Produce high-quality deliverables and services to client requirements within time and budget constraints.
  • •Coordinate and challenge inputs from multidisciplinary teams (e.g., drainage, structures, environmental) and work with clients and stakeholders through statutory approval processes.
  • •Develop the team by mentoring junior engineers and apprentices, and support work-winning through quality and commercial input.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering (or similar).
  • •Chartered Engineer preferred, with consideration for candidates progressing toward chartership.
  • •Significant post-graduate experience in relevant areas such as civil engineering, highways, rail/light rail, public transport, or greenways/active travel.
  • •Solid understanding and experience applying UK and Ireland design standards (e.g., TII PMG/PMM, DMRB, DMURS, LTN 1/20, LTN 1/24, NTA Cycle Design Manual).
  • •Experience preparing contract documentation for major transport projects, including NEC/Public Works Contract and associated specifications.
