Job Summary

Lead research and strategy for SMP’s AI Music licensing, mapping the AI ecosystem, generating new business opportunities, and supporting negotiations and enforcement with Legal. Partner with the Global Digital Team to shape SMP’s AI licensing strategy, prepare senior management presentations, and drive multi-territory digital licensing initiatives at a global level.

Key Responsibilities

•Researching and mapping the AI Music ecosystem, including mapping key players, deep-dive analysis of product/bi/rounds, and maintaining internal knowledge.
•Generating new business leads by identifying opportunities, leading senior-level meetings, and recommending actionable partnership/licensing strategies.
•Participating in licensing negotiations with in-depth understanding of drivers and adapting strategy in real-time.
•Supporting enforcement activities by prioritizing targets and providing context for legal actions.
•Preparing concise presentations for senior management (including CEO) on the State of AI Music, strategy, and licensing/enforcement status.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 97,000 - 138,500 annually

Key Requirements

•Educated to degree level (legal, business or technical degree preferred).
•6+ years of relevant experience working with business development / partnerships, law, or strategy within digital media, music, technology, or related industries.

•Strong analytical and research capabilities with ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
•Experience developing strategic recommendations supported by market intelligence and data analysis.
