Join Okta’s Native Apps team as a Staff Software Engineer to design and develop scalable APIs and features using NodeJS/JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Go. Work with AI-assisted development, own architectural evolution, lead discussions, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor peers to improve product robustness and speed in a remote-friendly, hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and develop features, APIs and fixes to handle current and future scale for the Okta Auth0 domain.
•Be a technical steward with ownership of codebase quality and long-term product scalability.
•Lead team discussions and mentor engineers to improve productivity and technical excellence.
•Collaborate with the support team and participate in on-call rotations for production issue troubleshooting.
•Help customers have an excellent product experience and contribute to architectural evolution.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of software development experience.
•Experience creating public or internal APIs using NodeJS/JavaScript/TypeScript.
•Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL Document databases (MongoDB) in production.
•Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
•Strong autonomy, ownership, and focus on architectural integrity and long-term scalability.
