Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop software prototypes to support research and design efforts.
  • •Conduct literature reviews, gather requirements/issues, and develop algorithms.
  • •Build prototypes, run formal controlled psychological experiments, and measure human performance and cognition limitations.
  • •Conduct usability, ethnographic, heuristic evaluations, task analyses, and interview/survey studies; evaluate findings and recommend impacts to business/products.
  • •Explore new prototyping frameworks and technologies; author a research paper, produce a research video, and present results internally and externally.

Key Requirements

  • •Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science (or related field) with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction and at least one academic term remaining post-internship.
  • •Demonstrated expertise in interactive technologies with peer-reviewed publications in international venues.
  • •Very strong technical skills in building software prototypes.
  • •Strong communication skills and teamwork experience.
  • •Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and coordinate requirements from multiple sources.
