Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain profitable multi-lines underwriting for Mid-market portfolios and provide training to other associates including the administrative assistant
  • •Apply all Underwriting elements for new business & renewals in handling the assignments of the highest complexity and works within delegated authorities, measuring exposure & analyzing risk, determining technical price according to certified/agreed pricing process, quoting & setting coverage, negotiating terms & conditions
  • •Contribute to managing accounts; build relationships in support of customer/ business acquisition and retention by handling queries, providing advice to assist with account development; implementing agreed technical standards, controls, practices and procedures, thereby maintaining underwriting discipline
  • •Timely update and use of Underwriting Scorecards and other MI tools & processes to proactively manage and improve the portfolios mix & performance and pipelines management
  • •Fluency in English & Cantonese; Mandarin-speaking is an added advantage

Key Requirements

  • •Degree holder
  • •Minimum 2 years working experience in General Insurance
  • •Good multi-lines underwriting knowledge mainly on Property & Casualty business
  • •Good knowledge & experience in evaluating middle market exposures
  • •Fluency in English & Cantonese; Mandarin-speaking is an added advantage
