Key Responsibilities

  • •Track, analyze, and brief internal leadership on legislative, regulatory, and industry developments impacting NPR, including copyright, AI, telecommunications, and privacy policy.
  • •Build and maintain a political network across Capitol Hill and federal agencies as a registered lobbyist, including managing LDA compliance activities.
  • •Meet with Hill staff to educate them on NPR and its role and impact in the public radio system.
  • •Represent NPR with federal regulatory bodies such as the Federal Communications Commission by monitoring regulatory developments and coordinating internal responses.
  • •Conduct research on Members of Congress and executive branch officials to develop political and advocacy strategies.
