Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead toolroom operations to maintain, repair, modify, and troubleshoot molds, dies, fixtures, and tooling.
  • •Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, including addressing failures in hot runner and cold runner systems.
  • •Manufacture mold parts using conventional and/or CNC machines and diagnose root causes of failures and mold part issues.
  • •Supervise repair, modification, assembly, and validation of molds, dies, and tooling to meet product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
  • •Manage toolroom personnel and drive continuous improvement using tooling performance metrics, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Tool Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • •5+ years of experience in tool room, mold maintenance, tooling engineering, or related manufacturing environments, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • •Strong injection mold/die/fixture/tooling knowledge, including hot runner and cold runner technologies.
  • •Proficiency in mechanical drawing interpretation and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • •Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 5 Why, 8D, Fishbone).
