Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and run day-to-day operations for multiple SUE field crews, ensuring adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
  • •Create and maintain field crew schedules across numerous projects and locations, ensuring work is completed within schedule/budget.
  • •Read and interpret utility drawings, as-builts, GIS files, and utility records; initiate, track, and document utility records requests.
  • •Identify, designate, and locate utilities using geophysical equipment (including GPR), observational skills, GPS and Total Station surveying, and vacuum excavation.
  • •Perform field audits and QA/QC on SUE field data, troubleshoot technical problems, and mentor junior field staff while communicating effectively with teams and managers.

Key Requirements

  • •BS degree + 4 years related experience, or AS degree + 6 years, or High School + 8 years.
  • •SUE and/or private utility locating experience with demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • •Understanding of SUE practices and procedures in accordance with ASCE 38-02 & 38-22.
  • •Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites, including passing an MVR review.
  • •Pass client required background checks and be able to perform frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), outdoor work, and daily walking.
