Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely along required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Manoeuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas; follow loading crew signals and assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when needed.
  • •Maintain signed invoices and shipping paperwork (bills of lading and delivery documentation) and deliver documentation when routes are complete.
  • •Facilitate routine service (e.g., checking oil/water/gas/air) and report maintenance issues; arrange trailers in shipping yards and perform other related duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license, appropriate for the vehicle’s weight.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing per federal and/or state DOT regulations, and complete a DOT physical for trucks over 10k lbs.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time and handle prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
