Job Summary

Lead and manage the development of design systems for analytical applications spanning aerodynamics, structures, dynamics, and performance. Improve engineering processes to raise productivity and overall deliverable quality. Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage the development of design system software for analytical systems including aerodynamics, structures, dynamics, and performance.
•Improve engineering processes to increase productivity and overall quality of deliverables.
•Leverage DevOps experience with GitHub and Azure DevOps to develop or modernize analytical software tools.
•Conduct multi-disciplinary design optimization projects (MDAO) and support user training for analytical tools and HPC environments.
•Participate in project planning and scoping (requirements analysis, design, and peer reviews) and build cloud-based infrastructure-as-code (IaaS) solutions on AWS.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
•8+ years of experience in software development and DevOps.
•Strong proficiency in Python, and ideally experience with C, Fortran, or Rust.
•In-depth knowledge of automated testing methodologies and tools such as pytest.
•Practical knowledge of Agile project management and software development methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe.
