Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead day-to-day technical delivery of highway consultancy services across all stages of the project life cycle, from feasibility through planning, detailed design and construction.
  • •Coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary inputs to ensure project success and value.
  • •Liaise with clients, build trusted relationships, manage expectations, and provide clear guidance on project direction.
  • •Undertake project technical lead and reviewer roles and support team members to maximise contribution to project goals.
  • •Prepare fee proposals, manage budgets, and deliver discrete and overall project solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant knowledge and experience of highway design and/or drainage systems across the project lifecycle, including road geometry, roundabouts, junctions, active travel, drainage, road restraint systems, and road signs/marking design.
  • •Experience in leading one or multiple design disciplines on relevant projects (road, public transport, active travel, development).
  • •Experience of contract document preparation or contract administration/site supervision using Public Works Contracts.
  • •Ability to use and check design outputs in software such as Autodesk Civils 3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, InfoDrainage, and PDS.
  • •Chartered Civil Engineer or Incorporated Engineer with extensive post-qualification experience.
