Job Summary

Lead day-to-day technical delivery of highway consultancy services across all project stages from feasibility to construction. Manage multi-disciplinary inputs, foster strong client relationships, provide technical leadership and reviews, and guide teams to develop robust design solutions. Responsible for fee proposals, budgets, and ensuring health, safety and QA standards are met while coordinating resources and ensuring timely delivery on highway/road projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead day-to-day technical delivery of highway consultancy services across all stages of the project life cycle, from feasibility through planning, detailed design and construction.
•Coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary inputs to ensure project success and value.
•Liaise with clients, build trusted relationships, manage expectations, and provide clear guidance on project direction.
•Undertake project technical lead and reviewer roles and support team members to maximise contribution to project goals.
•Prepare fee proposals, manage budgets, and deliver discrete and overall project solutions.

Key Requirements

•Relevant knowledge and experience of highway design and/or drainage systems across the project lifecycle, including road geometry, roundabouts, junctions, active travel, drainage, road restraint systems, and road signs/marking design.
•Experience in leading one or multiple design disciplines on relevant projects (road, public transport, active travel, development).
•Experience of contract document preparation or contract administration/site supervision using Public Works Contracts.
•Ability to use and check design outputs in software such as Autodesk Civils 3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, InfoDrainage, and PDS.
•Chartered Civil Engineer or Incorporated Engineer with extensive post-qualification experience.
