Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop complex switchboard drawings and bills of materials based on established switchboard designs.
  • •Consult with plant and field sales engineers to define new equipment applications and follow customer/internal specifications.
  • •Select components and create bills of materials for projects.
  • •Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC and HMI software for automatic power transfer applications (e.g., Main-Tie-Main, Main-Gen).
  • •Perform factory testing and troubleshooting for switchboard control systems, and support field start-ups if required.

Key Requirements

  • •2-year technical degree (or similar military training).
  • •Minimum 1 year of controls experience in power distribution applications, or 2 years of controls experience in other applications.
  • •Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • •Knowledge of power distribution (switchgears and switchboards) and control systems.
  • •Successfully complete and maintain compliance with Eaton’s safety program, including role-applicable EESS Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) requirements.
